It's time again to begin planning National Student Employment Week and National Student Employee of the Year activities on your campus. As members of SASEA, we constantly strive to find new ways to recognize the essential role student employment plays, not only in a student's life, but in the daily workings of our colleges and universities.
The Student Employment Week and Student Employee of the Year initiatives provide the perfect opportunity to publicize student employment; don't let another year go by without seizing the opportunity!
National Student Employment Week this year will be April 11-18. Each spring, as part of this celebration, NSEA sponsors the National Student 7mployee of the Year program to select the nation's most outstanding student employee. As before, all colleges and universities in SASEA are encouraged to nominate a student for the honor.
Of the nominees, SASEA will select a Regional Student Employee of the Year who will then be entered in the National Student Employee of the Year program. The regional winner will receive a plaque and a $1000 money order from SASEA. The nominating office will also receive a certificate acknowledging their nominee's selection as SASEA's Student Employee of the Year. If the student is later selected as NSEA's National Student Employee of the Year, he or she will also receive a $1,000 cash award presented by NSEA at the student’s home campus!
